One of the most toxic celebrity breakups in recent years has taken a surprising twist, with Scottish relaity star Laura Anderson reportedly forming a friendship with her ex-partner Gary Lucy’s former wife. Sources claim the former Love Island star, 36, and Natasha Gray are “joining forces” over their shared experiences with Gary, 43, and are unapologetic about it. “Laura and Natasha have bonded over their experiences with Gary and neither of them has anything nice to say,” an insider told the Mirror. “They don’t see an issue with their friendship. Neither of them are with Gary anymore, so in their opinion it’s none of his business.” Laura and Gary, a former Hollyoaks actor, split while she was pregnant with their daughter Bonnie, now two. A brief reconciliation ended permanently amid rumours Gary didn’t want to move to Scotland, and the pair have since exchanged public barbs. Laura has previously called Gary a “deadbeat dad,” while he has described her as a “narcissist.” Natasha, who was with Gary for 14 years and shares four children with him, has reportedly become a “rock” for Laura. Sources say Natasha recognised similarities between her own split and Laura’s, giving her insight into how Gary might behave. Laura recently posted a heartfelt Instagram message praising Natasha: “From one proud hard-working mother to another… You have been and still continue to be my rock. Bonnie and I love you all.” Experts say friendships with an ex’s ex can be “healing and hazardous.” Tina Wilson, founder of the Wingman dating app, said: “Shared experience creates instant empathy and understanding, especially under public scrutiny. But old wounds or comparisons can resurface, and blurred boundaries can raise questions about loyalty. Done right, it can bring strength and solidarity — but it must be about moving on, not reliving the past.” Meanwhile, Gary is reportedly uneasy about the new alliance. “He isn’t happy about them being friends, but he can’t say much to them,” a source said. “He’s worried they’re plotting against him because he’s all they have in common. It’s an uncomfortable situation.” The feud has continued on social media , with Laura hitting back at Gary’s recent “narcissist” remark, sharing messages showing she has him saved on her phone as “Lucifer.” She added: “Do not feel silenced by bullies. I am not the Narc.” Laura, who celebrated one year with her boyfriend Clark Robertson in July, has previously claimed that Gary hasn’t seen Bonnie for months and criticised the lack of support for co-parenting. A source close to Gary insisted: “Gary would love for the kids and his parents to have a relationship with Bonnie, but Laura has made it incredibly difficult for everybody.”
