Strictly Come Dancing star Ross King has been dealt a crushing blow just hours before the BBC launch show. On Saturday night, viewers will tune in to watch this year’s celebrities being paired with their professional dancers. And while the eliminations for the show haven’t begun just yet, the bookmakers have been coming up with their own predictions about which celebrity will be given the boot first – and it’s not looking good for Ross King. A Betway spokesperson exclusively told Wales Online, “Ahead of the launch show, things aren’t looking good for Ross King, who is the most likely to be given the boot first, with odds of 66/1. “Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Chris Robshaw are also neck and neck with odds of 50/1. “At the other end, Emmerdale icon Lewis Cope is currently Betway’s favourite to win the competition, with model Ellie Goldstein close behind him with odds of 4/1. “However, could things all change after the celebrities have been paired with their professional dancers?” Tomorrow night, the celebs and pro dancers will be paired up as the 2025 series of Strictly Come Dancing gets underway. The following Saturday night, the celebrities will take to the dance floor for the first time with the dance pros, and they will be scored by the judges: Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, and Anton du Beke. The weekend after that is when the elimination begins, and one celebrity will be sent home. Ross King, who regularly presents the US entertainment segment on Lorraine, recently discussed his Strictly so far and admitted to getting emotional. “It’s amazing how this affects people in different ways,” he explained on the ITV show. “Alex Kingston, a huge Hollywood star, when we did the opening bit, one little dance move, she got really emotional, and then I got emotional as well.” He added, “You come out and get that incredible surge from the audience, and it’s like real love and everything. “It was just lovely to see someone like Alex Kingston who’s probably never had that… for her to get that and see the reaction… we’re loving it!” Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday at 6.40pm on BBC One.
