Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna unexpectedly ran into each other on a flight recently. The actors shared the screen in The Accidental Prime Minister. The 2019 film featured Anupam Kher as Manmohan Singh and Akshaye Khanna in the role of Sanjaya Baru.
On his X handle, Anupam Kher shared a candid selfie with Akshaye Khanna. The veteran actor was wearing a white shirt, while Akshaye was seen in a black tee, layered with a jacket. Do not miss their matching baseball caps.

Recently, Anupam Kher made his return as a director with Tanvi The Great. The film received international acclaim throughout its run in Cannes, New York, Houston and London. The film revolves around Tanvi Raina, a 21-year-old woman with autism, who lives with her mother Vidya and grandfather, Colonel Pratap Raina. Tanvi is inspired by her late father, Captain Samar Raina, an Indian Army officer who dreamed of saluting the national flag at the Siachen Glacier. She sets out to accomplish his ambition by pursuing a position in the Indian Army.
Anupam Kher’s Recent Work
Anupam Kher was last seen playing the role of Mahatma Gandhi in Vivek Agnihotri’s The Bengal Files. The film is the third part in Agnihotri’s Files trilogy, following The Tashkent Files (2019) and The Kashmir Files (2022), in which Kher had a key role. The Bengal Files, released on September 5, also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar, Puneet Issar and Saswata Chatterjee in key roles.
