Brendan Rodgers has admitted he will need assurances over Celtic’ s future transfer business if he is to remain at the club beyond the end of the season. The Hoops boss is adamant that he’ll be at Parkhead until the summer at least, reminding fans of the vow he made when appointed as Ange Postecoglou’s successor two years ago. After a shambolic summer window, questions were raised over whether Rodgers would walk away, with one report including claims for an anonymous club source claiming that he was trying to engineer his exit. Rodgers branded that a “cowardly” move by whoever the culprit is , and insisted that he’s in it until the end of his contract at the very least. However, if there are no assurances that there is to be no repeat of the window just gone, then it could well be terminado this summer. When asked by Sky Sports if he would need those assurances to stay, Rodgers replied: “Yes. I’ve already been very clear (with those in charge). “I’ve got good relationships with the working group here and that will continue to be the case. “it’s important that communication is open because we all want what’s best for Celtic. If we can align all of that, then great. “If not, until my very last day here, I will give my very, very best. “After the summer, I’m even more determined now to make a real success of this season.” Follow Record Sport on Twitter , Facebook and Instagram for all of the up-to-the minute breaking news, video and audio on the SPFL, the Scotland national team and beyond.
