AI Boom Powers Triple-Digit Gains in China’s Hardware Stocks

A trio of Chinese hardware makers has emerged as the darlings of the A-share market this year, thanks to soaring demand for artificial intelligence computing power.
Shares of Zhongji Innolight Co., Eoptolink Technology Inc. and Suzhou TFC Optical Communication Co. have all recorded triple-digit gains this year to become the top performers on China’s onshore equity benchmark. Their growth is driven by a flood of orders from data centers, which need optical transceivers to link thousands of advanced chips known as graphics processing units, or GPUs, in AI clusters.
