Katie Thurston blasts fake death rumors as she continues to battle stage 4 cancer

Katie Thurston feels “helpless” over the fake death rumors circulating amid her battle with stage 4 breast cancer.
“I’ve seen this [Facebook] article go around before, but something about tonight really f–king pisses me off,” the “Bachelorette” alum shared via her Instagram Stories Friday.
“It was triggering. I tried to report it [but] there’s nothing I can do … I just feel helpless. I’m so mad right now.”
Thurston, 34, explained that she intended to take a break from social media when she learned about the article.
“I was getting, like, texts from people I don’t normally hear from,” she said. “Then, I got DMs from people, and everyone’s like, ‘Are you OK?’”
In a follow-up Story, the reality star quipped, “[I’m] still here. [Facebook] is just constant clickbait.”
“Please report these people. They suck!! This is so triggering,” Thurston pleaded.
In Feburary, the TV personality announced on Instagram that she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and “ready to fight.”
“I experienced a range of emotions over the past two weeks. Despair. Anger. Sadness. Denial. And then strength. Purposeful. Ready. I cried a lot. I tried to even make a video instead of this post and couldn’t,” she shared.
“I scheduled appointments for another biopsy, fertility, mental health, surgery, as well as meeting with my team to discuss the overall treatment plan, which will include chemo,” Thurston added.
The following month, the influencer revealed her stage 4 diagnosis after the condition spread to her liver.
Despite the setback, she and Jeff Arcuri tied the knot that same month.
During a Q&A livestream in March, Thurston shared her and Arcuri’s plans to start a family via surrogacy “when the time comes.”
In May, Thurston gave her fans another medical update, saying she was experiencing “medically induced menopause,” which has led to hot flashes.
