A video of a puppy being walked by her senior canine sibling has gone viral on TikTok.The sweet moment was captured in a video posted by TikTok user Miranda Maria (@mirandamaria05), which has amassed 217,000 views since it was shared on September 5.The footage shows the puppy with her mouth grabbing onto the end of a leash that’s on the 9-year-old goldendoodle, a cross between a golden retriever and a poodle. The older dog is shown marching along, while the puppy scurries along, attempting to match its pace.A caption shared with the post: “This is your sign to get your 9-year-old dog a puppy.”The apparent close bond between the two canine companions is unsurprising because “dogs can form relationships of comparable qualities with both humans and other dogs,” noted a March 2019 study published in Scientific Reports, “and that these relationships vary along multiple components across different partners.”The study found that “the type of relationship, rather than the partner species, predicts how dogs react to a social threat.”In a February 2013 article for Psychology Today, Stanley Coren, a professor emeritus in the department of psychology at the University of British Columbia who is the author of several books about dogs, explained: “Dogs that have been properly socialized will congenially approach virtually anything that is alive, regardless of its species, and, unless they receive hostile signals, they will attempt to establish a good-natured relationship.”‘My Heart’The moment captured in the viral clip has melted the hearts of viewers on TikTok.LoveDoggies said: “Omg.
