The New York Giants entered Week 4 action against the Los Angeles Chargers with a renewed sense of excitement. Gone are the days of Russell Wilson being the start quarterback and Jaxson Dart has taken over the keys to the franchise.
Unfortunately, in the second quarter with the Giants leading the game 10-3, the Giants suffered a huge injury blow.
Malik Nabers went to jump for a deep ball thrown from Dart. As he jumped, his knee appeared to buckle. He was quickly taken off the field on a cart due to the injury that he suffered.

While there is no further information or an official injury diagnosis known at this point in time, the injury appeared to be serious.
Malik Nabers #1 of the New York Giants runs downfield during the game against the Kansas City Chiefs at MetLife Stadium on September 21, 2025.
Since being drafted last offseason with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Nabers has already started looking like a star in New York. In his rookie season with the Giants, he racked up 109 receptions for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns.
Hopefully, the injury does not end up being as serious as it appeared to be on the field.
If Nabers is forced to miss any significant amount of time, the New York offense would take a major hit. Also, it would be a brutal injury for Dart, who is just getting his feet under him as a rookie NFL quarterback.
Coming into this week’s game against the Chargers, Nabers had played in all three games this season. He caught 16 passes for 251 yards and two touchdowns in those games.

More information is sure to be available in the near future. Seeing him leave on a cart and watching the replay gives good reason for the Giants to be extremely concerned about his status moving forward this season.
Make sure to stay tuned. In the meantime, New York will continue trying to pull off its first win of the season after a tough 0-3 start to the year.
