For expats in Tamil Nadu, it was a networking opportunity not inside the board rooms or a banquet hall but on a golf course. On Saturday, over 225 expats in Tamil Nadu gathered in the hot sun in the Nandanam golf course to participate in the Tamil Nadu Expat Golf Cup 2025 organised by Guidance Tamil Nadu in association with Tamil Nadu Golf Federation – a first of its kind initiative in the country. This is part of building networks, community and a new global image for the city.
With expatriate CEOs, CXOs, and senior executives from Japan, Korea, Singapore, the UK, Germany, the US, Australia, and Taiwan, the tournament was not just about great shots and long drives. It is about showcasing Chennai’s ease of living, vibrant culture, and global-ready lifestyle, where the world comes to work, live, and invest, said an official at Guidance Tamil Nadu.
The event aimed to highlight Tamil Nadu’s growing reputation as not just a global business hub but also a welcoming place to live, work and thrive, the official added. This initiative aligns with the State’s ongoing focus to enhance ease of living for global professionals. The Expat Golf Tournament is part of Guidance Tamil Nadu’s broader effort to position Chennai and the State as not only an industrial powerhouse but also a world-class destination for global talent and investment. It complements the State’s investor facilitation initiatives which help make relocation seamless for expats and their families, he said.
