Small con, big fun! Celebs, TV cars and more at Michigan’s first Fantasticon

WATERFORD, MI – It’s a small comic con with everything pop culture fans want in an event like this.
Today is the final day for Michigan’s first Fantasticon taking place from 11am – 5pm at the Oakland Expo Center at 2212 Mall Street East in Waterford in Metro Detroit.
Celebrities? Check. Panels? Check. TV and movie cars? Check. Cosplay? Check. Games, art, memorabilia? Check, check and check.
You never know who you’ll meet at an event like this. We ran into a police officer from Flint who told Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox, Jon and “Ponch” from “CHiPs,” that they inspired him to become a member of law enforcement.
Other celebrities at the event include Butch Patrick (“The Munsters”), Jeremy London (“Mallrats,” “7th Heaven”), Eugene Clark (“Land of the Dead”), and Marta Kristen (“Lost in Space”).
You can watch our video interview with Estrada and Wilcox here.
Tickets to Fantasticon can be purchased here or at the door for $18. Most autograph and celebrity photos are around $40.
