Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams called the loss to the Philadelphia Eagles “a little demoralizing.” Even more disheartening, however, has been the WR’s sore hamstring. Each missed practice has raised concerns. While coach Sean McVay seemed optimistic about Adams’ availability earlier, analyst Ian Rapoport’s latest positive injury update on the player added to it.
“#Rams WR Davante Adams (hamstring) only practiced late in the week, but sources say he’s set to play today. He’s listed as questionable,” he wrote on X.
After missing a few practices after Week 3, the WR finally showed up in the practice on Friday (September 26). However, he saw limited participation.

But despite the limited action, coach McVay had confirmed that there might not be any changes in the WR’s snaps in the next game. “Feel good about them being able to go,” McVay told reporters about Adams and tackle Rob Havenstein. “These guys are veterans that have accumulated a lot of experience. Looking forward to them doing what we kind of project and feeling good about being ready to roll on Sunday.”

Just like with quarterback Matthew Stafford’s back injury a few weeks back, the coach has been closely following Adam’s recovery, even if the player looks fit to play. So, the questionable status is understandable for a player who is a key player on the roster.
Adams dealt with multiple health issues during his time as a New York Jet in late 2024, battling both a wrist injury and an illness that affected his availability. His injury concerns began earlier when he was still with Las Vegas, missing time due to a hamstring injury in late 2024.
He’s been the quarterback’s go-to target, racking up 13 catches for 213 yards and two touchdowns so far this season. And he has continued to put in the work. When asked about his injury, the WR confirmed that he feels “good.” “We’re just working through it, treating it, making sure we’re being smart,” he recalled.

“That way we don’t have any issues. Obviously having this game and then the short week, next week, we just want to be smart about how we move. It’s just paying attention to it more than anything.” But looking back, Adams recalled that his hamstring injury wasn’t even caused by a specific moment but rather by general wear and tear. As of now Adams looks questionable but if we go by the coach and player, he should be available for the Colts game.
However, that’s not the end of injury woes for the Rams. There are a few more injury questions as they head to face the Indianapolis Colts.
The Rams’ struggles with injuries
Apart from Adams, there are three more players who are listed as questionable before the 2025 game. Havenstein and tight ends Colby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee are the three other names that are questionable for the game. Rams tackle missed practice this week due to his ankle injury, but coach McVay appeared optimistic about his availability.
McVay said of Higbee “He got through practice and ended up having just a little bit of soreness. He’s good. It checked out. Everything feels good. We’ve been giving him Fridays off. Last week was a little bit of an exception for some tactical reasons. He’ll be good.”
Havenstein is an 11-year starter. His health is a big priority for the team. Meanwhile, linebacker Parkinson is still limited in practice due to a shoulder injury that forced him out for a game earlier this month. He suffered an AC joint sprain back in Week 1 against the Houston Texans. As for Higbee, things might not be serious.

The coach assured that “I’m looking forward to them doing what we project, and we feel good about being ready to roll on Sunday. [Offensive Lineman] Steve [Avila] will be full. [Offensive Lineman] Justin Dedich will be full. [Tight End] Colby Parkinson will be limited, but he’ll be in good shape. Guys that will have veteran rest days will be [Tight End Tyler] Higbee. [Wide Receiver] Puka [Nacua] has gotten a big workload, so we’ll rest him today, but he’ll be in good shape. [Offensive Lineman] Alaric [Jackson], the consistent thing that we’ve talked about. He’s done an amazing job. Other than that, we should be good.”
All the players with even a single question mark of availability will be closely watched as the Rams gear up for their next game.
