Following Indian military operations that targeted its bases, UN-designated terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is relocating significant portions of its operational and training infrastructure deeper into Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, reported TOI. The move comes as the group seeks to evade further Indian strikes.Satellite imagery and corroborating photos and videos show that LeT is building a new facility, Markaz Jihad-e-Aqsa, in Lower Dir district, just 47 km from the Afghan border. Construction began in July 2025, two months after Operation Sindoor, which had destroyed the Markaz Ahle Hadith facility at Bhimber-Barnala.”It will serve as the replacement hub for LeT’s Jaan-e-Fidai Fidayeen unit following the destruction of the Markaz Ahle Hadith facility at Bhimber-Barnala by the Indian Army on May 7,” Indian intelligence sources told TOI.The facility occupies over 4,600 square feet and is located adjacent to LeT’s recently built Jamia Ahle Sunnah mosque. “The facility will be headed by Nasr Javed, one of the masterminds of the 2006 Hyderabad blast in India,” an intelligence dossier states.The group has also assigned specific roles at the new site: Muhammad Yasin, aka Bilal Bhai, will handle doctrinal instruction in jihad, while Anasullah Khan is responsible for operational weapons training, according to intelligence sources.
