The much-anticipated Citi Business Olympics 2025 has kicked off at the Eden Heights Sports Complex in Accra with an electrifying aerobics session that set the tone for Ghana’s biggest corporate sporting festival.
Citi News’ Gabby Offei, reporting live from the grounds, described the atmosphere as “already electrifying,” with hundreds of participants brimming with excitement. “I think we should be in for a very interesting spectacle today,” he added.
Companies from across Ghana turned out in their numbers, waving their corporate flags and rallying their teams as they prepared to go head-to-head in various disciplines. The opening aerobics session was designed to stretch muscles and prepare athletes physically and mentally for the competitions ahead.
Powered by Citi FM and Channel One TV, the annual festival is more than a contest of strength and skill — it is a celebration of teamwork, networking, and corporate camaraderie.
Companies will battle across football, volleyball, athletics, swimming, arm wrestling, and the ever-popular tug-of-war — each contest reflecting the values that drive the workplace: strategy, collaboration, endurance, and determination.
This year’s edition, themed “Bridging the Gap in Our Corporate World Through Sports,” underscores the festival’s role in fostering unity and partnerships across industries.
Beyond the medals and bragging rights, the Citi Business Olympics continues to serve as a platform for professionals to connect informally, strengthen networks, and promote healthy living.
With energy, colour, and fierce competition on display, all eyes are on Eden Heights today as corporate Ghana showcases its athletic spirit.
