Ram Charan, one of the most popular actors, has completed 18 years in the film industry, and the makers of his upcoming film Peddi marked the milestone with a special gesture. The team unveiled a brand-new poster of the actor, celebrating his journey and contribution to cinema while also raising the excitement bar.
Taking to their Instagram handle, Peddi makers shared the poster and wrote, “Celebrating our #Peddi’s 18 incredible years in cinema. Did Ram Charan Starrer Peddi Bag Rs 130 Crore OTT Deal?
Peddi has reportedly bagged a massive OTT deal. According to a post shared by Rangasthalam on X (formerly Twitter), the Ram Charan-led film has sold its digital rights for a whopping Rs 130 crore. Depending on the box office performance, this amount can increase by another 20 crore. The post read: “#Peddi OTT rights sold for ₹130 Cr. Additionally, depending on the film’s run, the agreement allows for up to ₹20 Cr more. #RamCharan #JanhviKapoor.” Previously, OTTplay reported that the digital rights of Peddi were sold to Netflix. While two other streaming platforms were in the running for the post-theatrical digital rights of the film, the makers ultimately chose Netflix. It is worth noting that neither the value of the deal nor the platform for Peddi’s digital release has been confirmed by the makers.
When Peddi’s Team Revealed That The Film Has Crossed The ‘Halfway’ Mark
Last week, the makers of Ram Charan’s Peddi revealed that the film has reached the halfway stage. They also confirmed that editing is underway while shooting continues simultaneously to maintain steady progress. Posting the update on social media, the team wrote: “KEY CRAFTSMEN AT WORK #Peddi edit in progress. The team is working round the clock with the shoot and edit happening simultaneously. The movie is halfway through its production. #PEDDI GLOBAL RELEASE ON 27th MARCH, 2026.”
Peddi: Cast And Plot
Written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi features Ram Charan in the titular role, alongside an ensemble cast that includes Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, and Jagapathi Babu, among others. The sports action drama, set against the backdrop of a village-based cricket tournament, will revolve around the story of Peddi. The film is being produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru, and the legendary music composer and singer A.R. Rahman will be behind its soundtrack.
