BBC Breakfast host forced to 'move on' as he gets 'told off' live on-air

A BBC Breakfast host was forced to “move on” as he got “told off” live on-air. During Sunday’s (September 28) instalment of the popular morning show, presenters Sarah Campbell and Ben Thompson brought viewers up to speed with breaking news from Britain and beyond. Adam Wild joined them in the studio to deliver the latest sporting updates, whilst Helen Willetts provided regular weather reports. Whilst reviewing the morning’s newspaper headlines, Ben highlighted research suggesting vegetables aren’t essential for maintaining good vision, with fish fingers and biscuits allegedly serving as effective alternatives. “I don’t know where they’ve worked out this science from… It says canned soup, as well, is also surprisingly good for some health conditions. I thought anything in a tin was probably not that great for you,” Ben remarked, prompting Sarah to respond: “Careful,” reports the Express . Ben acknowledged: “I’m not a doctor, I should be really clear.” Sarah subsequently discussed Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston, who has revealed that artificial intelligence replicas of her are so realistic that even her relatives and closest friends are fooled by the fabricated footage they encounter. “This is a bit more serious story. I mean, we always talk about AI. Very few days do we go by and not have an AI story,” Sarah noted. “We’ve got the lovely Jennifer Aniston. She’s saying now that AI copies of her are so convincing that even her family and close friends contact her to say, ‘I can’t believe you’ve said that’. And she has to say, ‘It wasn’t me.'” “Her face changes quite a bit though, doesn’t it? So, maybe they’re not really sure,” Ben then commented, with Sarah responding: “That is true. She is a very attractive lady.” “Yes, yeah. But I mean, you’re right, AI is very convincing. I’m going to get told off now,” Ben quipped, before Sarah interjected: “I think we’re going to have to move on.” She continued: “Let’s move on to safer territory,” before passing the baton to Adam, who was poised to present the day’s sports segment. BBC Breakfast airs daily on BBC One at 6am
