Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 4: John Cena DC Series EXPLAINS Origins Of Quantum Unfolding Chamber

The newest episode of Peacemaker Season 2, titled Need I Say Door, remains in the real world. In the last episode, Chris Smith (John Cena), aka Peacemaker, returned to the alternate dimension where his father, Auggie (Robert Patrick), and brother, Keith (David Denman), are still alive. The fourth episode solves the big mystery of the show: how did Auggie create the Quantum Unfolding Chamber and Peacemaker’s powerful helmets? Warning: Spoilers ahead! Origins of Quantum Unfolding Chamber explained Episode 4 opens with Auggie on a hunting trip with his young boys. He shoots at something moving in the woods and discovers an alien crying out in pain. Shooting the creature, he steals the device it’s holding, which leads to the Quantum Unfolding Chamber. The alien is different from the ones we’ve seen so far in the DC universe, and its origins might hold more clues to future episodes. Auggie, who was also the White Dragon, stole the alien technology and changed it for his use. The episode also reveals something very important: the chamber can be transferred to another location. The duo manage to escape somehow, and Adebayo (Danielle Brooks) arrives to pick them up. Chris goes to his grandfather’s old hunting cabin, where he manages to set up the Quantum Unfolding Chamber and move it from his father’s old house. The nail-biting events occur just in time because Economos is forced to break the code to the chamber by ARGUS agent Sasha Bordeaux (Sol Rodriguez). While the task force is foiled yet again, Peacemaker’s days might be numbered because Emilia Harcourt (Jennifer Holland) has been roped in to bring him in. Peacemaker can control the Quantum Unfolding Chamber The episode has a big reveal that Chris is the one who set up the portal, and he was able to do it twice. Once, when they found the device next to the dying alien in the woods near his dad’s trailer, and the second time from the trailer to his house. He and his brother Keith moved the chamber because Auggie was afraid of it. The show debunks the theory that Auggie was some genius. He just happened to be at the right place at the right time. When Adebayo asks about the helmets, Peacemaker vaguely replies, “It’s… complicated.” It’s apparent this story has more details that will not be shared now. Writer-director James Gunn has revealed that Peacemaker has bigger links to other properties in the DCU, so hopefully this will be explained more later.
