Martin H Jurick Obituary

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Martin H. Jurick, a beloved husband, father, and Papa, who left us peacefully on September 20, 2025, just three days shy of his 88th birthday. He was 87 years old. His wife and daughters were with him at the end.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 23, 1937, Marty lived a life rooted in family, hard work, and kindness. He was known for his steady wisdom, his sense of humor, his generosity, and above all, his devotion to those he loved.
Marty graduated from Culver City High School in 1955 and from UCLA in 1959 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. He went to work at NCR, Electronics Division in El Segundo, where he met Marlene at the Company picnic. The family moved to Orange County from Torrance in 1974 when Marty went to work for a small start-up semiconductor company with close friends. That venture became Silicon Systems, Inc., in Orange County, a company that would flourish both professionally and personally, providing him with lifelong friendships and accomplishments he held dear.
After retiring, he held several positions on Boards, including St. Joseph Hospital. He loved his family and friends and delighted in getting together with his many cousins. He enjoyed camping, deep-sea fishing, skiing and sailing, but was especially known for his passion for photography, through which he captured countless memories.
Marty was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Marlene, and a proud father to his three daughters. He was also a deeply loving grandfather to his eight grandchildren, who loved their Papa dearly. His guidance, laughter, and unconditional love will remain with his family forever.
Marty is survived by his wife Marlene Jurick and three daughters, Janna Colaco, Leslie Torrance, April Anderson and son-in-law, Anthony Anderson plus his eight grandchildren, Max, Erica, Spencer, George, Andrew, Allison, Kelly and Natalie. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam Jurick, Mollie and George Levine, and his sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Nate Green.
We will carry him in our hearts always.
