Barack Obama has defended his choice to wear a controversial tan suit in 2014, stating he was “rocking it” and found the public’s strong reaction “kind of crazy”.

The “scandal” occurred during a White House briefing where he discussed escalating the US military response to ISIS, with his light suit by tailor Georges de Paris drawing significant attention and criticism.

Mr Obama noted that photos of Ronald Reagan and George Bush wearing similar suits began to circulate online after the incident.

He humorously remarked that he believed he “looked better than them in it” when comparing his appearance to other leaders in similar attire.
