Stockbridge: BBG invites entries for scarecrow contest

Berkshire Botanical Garden invites local businesses, nonprofits, community groups, and individuals to create a scarecrow for its new Harvest Festival feature, The Scarecrow Walk.

Registration deadline is Friday, Oct. 3, and drop-off dates are Friday, Oct. 3, from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 4, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Scarecrows will be displayed throughout the Garden during the Harvest Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 11 and 12, and will be judged by the public via a QR code. The winner will be announced on Oct. 12.

Entry fees are $100 for businesses, $25 for nonprofits and $20 for community entries (teams, schools, groups, and individuals).

Business and nonprofit entries may include their business logo, hashtag, QR code, and/or website.
