Biggest additions to the Minnesota Timberwolves’ roster
By sending Karl-Anthony Towns to the New York Knicks last season, it’s obvious the Timberwolves see a future where Edwards is the team’s cornerstone superstar.
At just 24 years old, Edwards has already surpassed Kevin Garnett’s postseason legacy as a T-Wolves player. Keeping that in mind, it’s obvious that the franchise wants to keep the current core together for as long as possible.
The key to making that a reality was re-signing Julius Randle to a long-term deal, and the organization accomplished that, among other things, during the offseason.
Randle averaged 18.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game for the Timberwolves last season as he became an integral part of head coach Chris Finch’s lineup.
Bringing back Naz Reid was a cherry on top for the Timberwolves, as the veteran center has consistently improved throughout his career with the team.
