While it may feel like Prime Day 2025 just ended (it hasn’t even been three months since the last marathon sales event came to a close), here comes another string of deal days: Amazon’s Prime Big Deals Days will be live October 7-8, and this time around the goal is to jump-start your holiday shopping. Is it too early to start buying for December when you’re still prepping for Halloween? Probably yes. But is that any reason to let a great deal fall by the wayside? Definitely not.
In that spirit, let’s get warmed up for this next Prime event with some already-live deals worth jumping on, if not for someone on your list, then at least for you. The list includes everything from some of our favorite skincare, our best-in-class electric toothbrush to an advent calendar that will make your Lego- and Minecraft-obsessed kid’s head explode. And don’t forget to check back once the actual Prime Big Deals Days go live on October 7 — just like in July, we’ll be hard at work covering literally everything worth buying.
The deals I personally think are best
As the mom of a 4-year-old, I’m currently deep in the world of Melissa & Doug toys, and both my daughter and I are particularly fond of their pretend food. While we don’t need more (they tend to take up a lot of space!), this wooden drink dispenser looks really fun, and the incredible on-sale price is hard to resist. My parents have had the same Lasko fan for too long now, and this Dyson (our favorite luxury floor fan) is a nice upgrade. Lastly, I love trying new skincare and I’m almost out of my current vitamin C serum, so this La Roche-Posay option is calling my name, especially since it’s supposed to be an excellent choice for my breakout-prone skin.

the thetchry Walnut Wood End-Grain Cutting Board
$35
$57 now 39% off
$35
I’ve been looking for decent, and decently priced, cutting boards recently, and what I’ve learned so far is that walnut wood is suitable for sharp knives (not all woods are), and end-grain boards are less prone to cuts and gauges from those aforementioned sharp knives. End-grain boards can also be very pricey, but this is one of the most affordable I’ve seen, and it’s highly rated.
