'Triple Crown' on Mind: Aditya and Arjun Aim Big at Pickleball By The Bay

The Rise Up Championship – Pickleball By The Bay 2025 is not only India’s first PWR 1000 event but also a stage for young talent to shine. Among them are brothers Aditya Singh (17) and Arjun Singh (15), who have been playing pickleball for the past five years. “The courts are nice, the atmosphere is nice, the air-conditioned setup and even a concert here… I’m enjoying it,” said Aditya, reflecting on the tournament experience by the Chennai coastline. Arjun, who is competing in all three categories, is aiming big. “My goal is to win the triple crown this time,” he declared. “I want gold in singles, doubles, and mixed doubles.” His elder brother, Aditya, is focusing on the men’s doubles category. “I’ll give my best and enjoy this game,” he added. The brothers credit pickleball for shaping their sporting journey. “Actually, in these two years I am currently playing pro category, so I’m giving my all in this game and enjoying it,” said Arjun. Aditya expressed gratitude to those supporting them. “I am very thankful to my sponsors, Global Sports. They have sponsored our trip to come here, so we are grateful to them.” Both also highlighted pickleball’s unique fitness appeal. “Anyone can play this sport from 6 to 60. It’s easy to learn but tough to master. But anyone can play for fun, fitness and friendship,” they explained. On India’s pickleball boom, the pair sees the moment as historic. “It is very nice for the pickleball community as more people are coming and major investment is happening. Pickleball is growing at a rapid pace. And this is India’s first PWR 1000 tournament—it has never happened before.” For the Singh brothers, Chennai is more than a competition—it’s a chance to make history together.
