Health Minister inaugurates mother and child hospital constructed at a cost of ₹15 crore in Sindhanur

Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao has said that the State government aims to ensure good health service to the people of Raichur district and to achieve that a mother and child hospital is now open and another 16 healthcare centres will soon be set up in the district.
He was speaking after inaugurating the newly constructed mother and child hospital in Sindhanur city in Raichur district on Saturday.
“The hospital was initially proposed to be constructed at a cost of ₹12 crore. But I have increased the grant to ₹15 crore to establish a fully fledged hospital for the taluk and surrounding areas,” Mr. Rao said.
The Health Minister said that eight new primary health centres have been sanctioned for the district and five centres will be upgraded as community health centres.
“The critical care centre (CCC) will come up at a cost of ₹21 crore in Lingsugur. The taluk hospital in Sindhanur will be upgraded as a district hospital with all healthcare facilities,” he added.
Medical Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil accompanied Mr. Rao.
Both Ministers inaugurated the taluk panchayat office, which was constructed at a cost of ₹1.5 crore. They also laid the foundation stone for the construction of other buildings.
