Taylor Swift is headed back to the late-night circuit for the promotion of her upcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl, after a long hiatus from doing this kind of press.
This is everything we know about the pop superstar’s upcoming late-night appearances.
Why It Matters
The Life of a Showgirl marks Swift’s first album release since her record-breaking Eras Tour—the highest-grossing tour in history—wrapped in December.

The Life of a Showgirl is Swift’s 12th record and the fifth one she has released in the past five years, following Folklore (2020), Evermore (2020), Midnights (2022), and The Tortured Poets Department (2024).
The album’s release comes after Swift bought back the rights to the master recordings of her first six albums: Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, and Reputation. “You belong with me,” she wrote on social media on May 30 alongside a photo of herself surrounded by her albums—a reference to her 2008 song by the same name from her sophomore album.
What To Know
Swift’s return to the late-night circuit will include appearances on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and The Graham Norton Show.
This marks the first time in three years that Swift has made an appearance on late-night TV. The last time she did so was back in 2022, shortly after releasing the album Midnights, and she appeared on Norton and Fallon’s shows.
Newsweek spoke to Geri Perry, founder of Geri Perry PR, about Swift’s upcoming late-night appearances. “Taylor Swift’s return to late-night shows is very deliberate,” Perry told Newsweek.
“She’s already mastered the direct-to-fan and digital space, but late-night gives her cross-generational reach, cultural credibility, and those shareable moments that ripple through press and social. It’s about reinforcing that she can dominate both new and traditional platforms,” Perry added.
When Will Taylor Swift Go On The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon?
Swift will join Fallon on October 6.
Fallon teased Swift’s appearance in a video shared to Instagram. The video shows him playing roulette and placing chips on 10, 6, and 25. In true Swift-style, a few Easter eggs were dropped in the clip that the Cruel Summer hitmaker would make an appearance.
The ball lands on number 13, which is Swift’s lucky number. The 51-year-old then says, “Baby, that’s show business for you,” a nod to The Life of a Showgirl album announcement. The post was captioned “Not a lot going on at the moment,” which is another Easter Egg: the phrase first appeared in the music video for Swift’s song 22, a single from her 2012 album Red, and was later famously used in an Instagram caption, prior to the singer dropping the surprise album, Folklore in 2020.
When Will Taylor Swift Appear On The Graham Norton Show?
Swift will appear on Norton’s show in an episode airing on October 3.
She will be joined by Cillian Murphy, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Domhnall Gleeson, and the singer Lewis Capaldi is set to perform.
What People Are Saying
Geri Perry, founder of Geri Perry PR, told Newsweek: “With so much focus on social media, it’s easy to underestimate the power of a late-night or prime-time TV appearance. Yet shows such as Graham Norton or Jimmy Fallon still provide something digital alone can’t: instant credibility, mainstream reach, and cultural cut-through.
These slots introduce artists to audiences beyond their online following, create shareable “moments” that ripple across press and social channels, and offer a rare chance for personality and live performance to shine on a prestige stage. In practice, broadcast and digital work best together. A single TV appearance can supercharge online impact.”
