Alison Hammond has shocked her followers with her remarkable weight loss transformation. The TV presenter has lost over 11 stone, with the use of a personal trainer and keeping active.
The This Morning host, 50, looked happier than ever with some new glam shots taken by her makeup artist, Mikey Philips. Flashing the camera a smile, Alison stunned in a denim jacket, white T-shirt, and a colourful A-line skirt.
Alison revealed to the Daily Mail how she manages to keep herself trim while working surrounded by scrumptious treats on The Great British Bake Off.
Only eating the finest treats from the show, Alison said: ‘I eat a bit of Paul and Prue’s after they’ve finished judging. I only try the ones that got a handshake from Paul or ones that won. If the judges aren’t impressed, I’m not trying it.’
Alison mentioned that she worked incredibly hard on losing the weight without the use of weight-loss jabs, opting to work with a personal trainer instead. ‘I’ve got a personal trainer – she’s amazing, she trains me when I can train. If I’m working, I don’t train, I’ll go for a walk. But when I’m at home, I’ll go and have a session with her in the morning, just an hour. It might be four days a week.’
Speaking to Good Housekeeping UK, Alison said she doesn’t mind the weight loss jabs for other people, ‘but for me, as soon as I hear any scare story, I get frightened’.
While working, she does not cut out anything from her diet, but instead focuses on everything in moderation. The TV presenter first began her weight loss journey as she felt scared over her recent pre-diabetic diagnosis, citing her mum’s passing as a push for her to start.
Alison’s mum, Maria, passed in 2020 after a battle with lung and liver cancer, and helped Alison on starting her journey for better health. Weighing 28 stone at her heaviest, Alison admitted she used to feel embarrassed about her size.
And although the online hate about her size got to her, Alison has said that she was losing weight for herself and not slimming down for others.
The bubbly presenter chatted to Lorraine Kelly on her What If podcast and candidly said that prioritising her health was her top priority. ‘I want my journey to empower others to think about making changes to their lifestyle to become the best version of themselves.’
A source close to Alison said ‘she is on top of the world recently’ and a lot of that has got to do with her new beau David Putman. Going from strength to strength, the Russian masseur has been by her side through it all. With a potential wedding on the cards, both Alison and David are thinking about the next steps that are best for them.
