KUCHING, Sept 27: Sarawak Cultural Village dancers left the crowd in awe with a lively performance presenting Sarawak’s heritage at the opening ceremony of the G-Festival and G-Valley Necktie Run in Guro yesterday (Sept 26).

In a statement, Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Deputy Mayor Dato Zaiedi Suhaili joined the Mayor of Guro and other dignitaries to officially open the festival, marking a moment of unity and cultural exchange.

The festival continues to showcase Sarawak’s vibrant culture while celebrating the growing bond between the two cities.

This visit marked Kuching South’s return gesture after Guro delegates and performers joined the Kuching Festival last year.

Since signing the Friendship Cities MoU, both cities have been actively exchanging cultural and youth programs aiming to strengthen people-to-people ties and boost mutual understanding.

Zaiedi showed appreciation to Guro City for its warm hospitality and also reaffirmed Kuching South’s commitment to deepen the friendship through ongoing cultural, social, and youth exchanges. — DayakDaily
