The Trojans are undefeated after four games and have already earned two victories against Big Ten opponents, Purdue and Michigan State. Quarterback Jayden Maiava completed 20 of 26 passes for 234 yards and three passing touchdowns in the team’s 45-31 victory over the Spartans last week. He also rushed for two touchdowns.
After playing at home last week, the Trojans will now have to adjust to playing in a different time zone. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET, which is 9 a.m. PT.
The Illini are 3-1 and are coming off a 63-10 loss to No. 11 Indiana last weekend. The Hoosiers dominated the game in every aspect, easily breaking through the Illini defense and holding their offense to just 10 points. Illinois will be looking for a much-needed bounce back win today.
