Man United star hints at injury return vs Brentford as another boost received

Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot has hinted that he could return to the starting line-up this afternoon when the Reds travel to Brentford in the Premier League . United have been without Dalot since the September international break when he had to withdraw from the Portugal squad due to injury. Since then, he has not featured for the Reds but it appears that he could be in line for a start today. During his pre-match press conference, Ruben Amorim announced that both Amad and Noussair Mazraoui would be absent for the game. And it was also confirmed that Dalot was back in contention. Taking to Instagram, Dalot posted a matchday graphic onto his story. While not a 100 per cent guarantee that he will start, players often post matchday graphics onto their social media channels when it is likely that they will play some part in the fixture. If Dalot is fit to start, he is more than likely going to as there is a current lack of players who can feature in the right wing-back slot. Another player who posted a pre-match graphic on his channels was Patrick Dorgu . The Dane provided a clever headed assist against Chelsea last weekend and is likely to retain his place in the squad. Less certainty surrounds what role Matheus Cunha will play in the game against the Bees. He came off the bench last weekend and did well but could be called upon to start against Brentford alongside former Bee Bryan Mbeumo. While Cunha has not posted himself about his availability, his wife Gabriela shared a matchday graphic posted by a Cunha fan account which could suggest that the Brazilian might be in a position to start today.
