CGST officers in Ludhiana busted a huge fake GST invoice scam. The racket involved three firms and bogus invoices worth Rupees 455 crore. They utilized ineligible Input Tax Credit of Rupees 69.41 crore. Authorities arrested two individuals, a father and son, who managed these firms. They are now in judicial custody. Further investigation is underway to find other involved entities.
