Today I’ll show you how to prepare a powerful natural solution that will provide relief in just minutes. You’ll need one orange cut off the top and remove the centre or pulp.”, reports the Mirror . It goes on: “Oranges are excellent for soothing coughs as they reduce inflammation and disinfect the bronchial tubes. Once the pulp is removed, place the orange over a flame on your stove and add a pinch of salt.” If you’re offering this remedy to your children, it’s advised to use just a pinch of salt for youngsters between 2-5 years of age, whilst for those above five, half a teaspoon can work wonders. The video adds: “Also add a pinch of turmeric powder and mix. “Now heat the mixture until it darkens and starts to boil. Once it boils for a few seconds, it’s ready so let it cool for a minute then add a spoonful of honey then give it to your child in the morning and night for three days.” The social media account claims this “homemade orange-based recipe could be the solution you’ve been searching for”. It emphasises that oranges are famous for their anti-inflammatory and disinfecting qualities. When the citrus fruit is combined with a dash of turmeric and honey, it can also “make a powerful remedy to soothe bronchial irritation”.
