Woman Shows ‘Ticketless’ Passengers Crowding AC-2 Coach, Says ‘Bihariyon Ke Liye Jitne Bhi Stereotypes…’

Travelling by train in India is often considered a convenient option, especially when opting for AC coaches that promise a more comfortable ride. However, the reality of these journeys doesn’t always match passengers’ expectations.
This is exactly what content creator Ayushi Ranjan experienced during her trip from Patna to visit her grandparents. Travelling alone in an AC-2 coach, she found her journey far more difficult than she had anticipated.
‘This Train Journey In Bihar Left Me Speechless’
In her Instagram video, the woman shared that the trouble began the moment the train reached Patna station. According to her, people without tickets rushed into the AC compartments without any hesitation.
“As soon as the train arrived in Patna, those who had tickets, forget them. Those who did not have tickets, they all entered the AC-2 and AC-3 coaches as if there was a mini stampede,” she explained.
Ayushi said she rarely gets a lower berth, but this time she did. But even with a seat, she described the atmosphere inside as completely chaotic.
‘Difficult To Survive’
As a solo woman traveller, Ayushi explained that the experience was far from safe or easy. “As a female solo traveller, it was as difficult for me to survive inside this train as it was for me to board the train,” she said.
Ayushi further said that she had to raise her voice many times just to manage.
She recalled how another passenger occupied her seat and refused to move. “An aunty came and sat on my seat. I asked her to move, she didn’t move, and I didn’t say anything to her,” Ayushi shared.
On top of that, the poor condition of the coach added to her discomfort.
“And the kind of smell – Oh God! I cannot tell you. AC 2 was not making me feel that it was AC 2. I was personally feeling that I had wasted my money,” Ayushi said.
‘Bihariyon Ke Liye Jitne Bhi Stereotypes…’
In her video, Ayushi also made a sharp remark about stereotypes connected with Bihar. She said, “This might hurt you, but I am still going to say it. Bihariyon ke liye jitne bhi stereotypes bani hai na, usse banane waale bhi hum hai aur sadly usse prove karne waali bhi hum hi hai (This might hurt you, but I am still going to say it. For all the stereotypes that exist about Biharis, we are the ones who create them, and sadly, we are also the ones who prove them true).”
In the caption of her post, she wrote, “Well, nobody prepared me for this.”

Viewers Relate To Her Experience
Since being shared online, Ayushi’s video has gathered more than a million views. In the comments section, many people came forward with similar accounts.
One user commented, “Being a Bihari, I understand completely in and out, little sad but true.”
Another recalled, “I once travelled to Patna by train in 2nd AC and that was one of the worst experiences of my life.”
A frustrated viewer tagged Indian Railways, asking, “We see a repetitive rise in such cases… especially in the eastern route… what all are you doing to mitigate this?”
“It’s even worse to see that shamelessly people sit in your seat and don’t even move after a request. And once you say it firmly, they fight and lie that I have my seat in this coach and whatnot,” someone else shared.
An individual narrated a similar incident during a journey to Bihar, saying, “They were sitting on our seat and when we asked them to move, one man said ‘ha betho betho’ (yes sit, sit). Again, when my friend said, ‘uncle hatho ye hamari seat hai’ (uncle, please move, this is our seat), he replied ‘ha betho na puri seat khali hai’ (yes sit, the whole seat is empty)… like seriously.”
A British Vlogger’s Take On Indian Trains
Just a few days before Ayushi’s post, British travel vlogger Alex had also shared his experience of travelling on Indian trains. In his Instagram video, he highlighted the chaotic atmosphere inside the coach. One of his main complaints was that several passengers played videos and songs on their phones at loud volumes.
