Popular WWE Star Makes Unexpected Return on SmackDown

A huge return took place during “WWE Friday Night SmackDown.” For weeks, fans have been wondering why Jacob Fatu had been absent from WWE TV. Those fans were in for a surprise when “The Samoan Werewolf” returned to the blue brand to interrupt Drew McIntyre. Ultimately Fatu laid “The Scottish Warrior” out with his own medical walking boot.

McIntyre was out for an in-ring promo complaining after losing his Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes at “Clash in Paris.” Nick Aldis, who is the “SmackDown” general manager, told McIntyre that he was making excuses before allowing Fatu to walk down the ramp.

Jacob Fatu’s Last Match

Fatu’s most recent match actually took place on Sept. 12, but it wasn’t televised. Fatu defeated Rusev in a dark match street fight. As far as Fatu’s last match on WWE TV is concerned, the former WWE United States Champion performed on the Aug. 15 episode of “Friday Night SmackDown.” He teamed with Sami Zayn and Jimmy Uso to defeat Solo Sikoa, JC Mateo, and Tonga Loa of the MFT. Fatu has had several house show matches, so he did remain active.

Fatu vs. McIntyre

The stage now appears to be set for a feud between Fatu and McIntyre. Before McIntyre could address Fatu in the ring, the microphone was snatched from him. McIntyre landed a cheap shot on Fatu, who responded with a superkick. Fatu then took McIntyre’s medical boot off and hit him over the head with it to end their in-ring segment.
