Emmerdale's Mike Parr leaves fans teary with 'beautiful' post to girlfriend after first child

Emmerdale’s Ross Barton star Mike Parr has left fans teary with a ‘beautiful’ post to his girlfriend Isabelle Du Plessis after welcoming their first child.

Mike, 39, announced earlier this week that he and girlfriend Isabelle had welcomed a baby girl, Suzie Rose Parr. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Mike shared a sweet post to his girlfriend and newborn daughter.

In one post to baby daughter Suzie, Mike penned: “I understand unconditional love for the first time!

“Dear Suzie, the last 6 days with you have been better than all my years on this planet combined. Life before you seems so meaningless.

“You have changed what the word love means to me. In fact, I’m not sure I understood what it was before I held you. There’s not a day that will go by when I don’t tell you and show you how much you mean to me.

“I’ll leave no stone unturned in making sure you always feel safe, supported, and loved. I absolutely adore you. Thank you for making us so happy. Love, Dad x.”

In a separate post to girlfriend Suzie, Mike penned: “To my Darling Isabelle. What you have endured over the last 9 months to bring us our beautiful daughter is astounding.

“What was meant to be a beautiful journey was tainted by Hyperemesis. A particularly cruel illness no woman should have to endure.

“Almost 9 months of vomiting and nausea and so many other horrid side effects that had you in hospital on multiple occasions, and yet you marched on and gave me the best present a man could wish for. A beautiful, healthy little girl. Our lives now feel complete.

“You’ve sacrificed so much. You’ve moved country, changed city, ran a business, started a degree, been an amazing dog mum, and now you’re being the most wonderful Mother. It’s a joy to witness. I’m so so proud of you.

“We are now a family, and I swear to dedicate my life to making yours and Suzies better. We’ve had the happiest 7 days, and here’s to a lifetime more. I love you all so much. X.”

Mike’s heartfelt posts left his 254K followers, as well as his ITV co-stars, teary as they shared their congratulations to the new family of three.

One person said: “This is the sweetest thing ever” with crying emojis while another put: “This is so pure Sending you loads of love” with a heart.

Elsewhere, a different follower wrote: “Such beautiful, heartfelt words. Love to you all. Congratulations xx” while another added: “Aww how lovely. Congratulations both” with heart emojis.
