Prince Harry had a reunion with King Charles during his recent visit to the UK. The 41 year old prince spent four days on British soil earlier this month, engaging in various charitable activities. Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, stayed back in California during his trip. After their 53-minute meeting at Clarence House in London, speculation arose that Harry had discussed a “half-in, half-out” return to Royal duties. However, it has now been disclosed that the meeting was “distinctly formal” and there was no talk of Harry potentially resuming Royal responsibilities. The Sun has since reported that Harry was taken aback by the visit, allegedly stating that he felt more like an “official visitor” than a family member. Travelling solo, Harry is said to have presented King Charles with a framed photo of himself, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet as a memento of their reunion, reports the Express . The King, aged 76, hasn’t seen his two youngest grandchildren since their last UK visit in June 2022. It’s also reported that the King gifted Harry a birthday present, as the prince celebrated his 41st birthday just days after their meeting. In summary, the publication revealed that the King and Harry greeted each other warmly with cheek kisses, enjoyed a private tea, and exchanged gifts. Sources close to the Duke of Sussex assert that he is content with his American lifestyle and simply wishes to mend fences with his family – with no intention of resuming duties as a working Royal. A spokesperson for Harry explained: “The trip back was about focusing on his patronages and supporting his good causes while also having time to catch up with family and friends.”
