Trump grips podium in new health fears as 'he's been to dentist or had a stroke'

Fresh questions have been raised over Donald Trump’s health after his latest public appearance at a ceremony marking 24 years since the tragic 9/11 attacks. The US president, 79, delivered a solemn address at the Pentagon Memorial in Washington on Thursday, paying tribute to the victims , their families, and to recently slain conservative figure Charlie Kirk. However, online users were quick to point out what they believed was something physically off about Trump’s appearance. Clips from the event posted on social media appeared to show the right side of Trump’s mouth drooping, leading some to speculate that he may have suffered a minor stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA). “Either Trump has just been to the dentist or had had a TIA affecting the right side of his face. He sounds very tired,” commented one YouTube viewer. Another added that his appearance “looked really bad” and a fourth person noted that although Trump seemed fine later that evening at a public event, he appeared “extremely tired” during the ceremony. Similar concerns were echoed on X, where one user claimed Trump’s facial asymmetry had lasted for over 30 minutes and wasn’t just a passing expression. One wrote: “”Trump at the 9/11 Pentagon memorial ceremony. What is wrong with his face? “Definitely has pronounced drooping on the right side of face and mouth, typical of medical condition. Fox News blurred out the back of his right hand which is covered in makeup.” Another alleged that he had briefly nodded off during the event and said the facial drooping became more noticeable as he relaxed. Not everyone agreed with the health concerns theories, however, as some defended Trump’s appearance. They agued that he was visibly shaken after the shocking death of his close ally Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot at Utah Valley University the day before the memorial. Trump paid tribute to Kirk during the service, saying: “We miss him greatly. But I have no doubt that Charlie’s voice and courage will continue to inspire millions, especially young people.” He also announced plans to posthumously award Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom, calling him a “true patriot.” Secretary of War Pete Hegseth went on to compare Kirk’s legacy to the sacrifice shown by those who died on 9/11, suggesting both had given their lives for the country’s future. The White House has not yet commented on speculation surrounding Trump’s health. For the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletters .
