EastEnders fans have ‘figured out’ Jasmine’s ‘true identity’ amid theories surrounding her potentially being Zoe Slater’s baby. Fans of the BBC soap have been trying to work out who the father of Zoe’s children is after it was recently revealed she had twins in 2006. With Michelle Ryan back for the first time on a full-time basis since her 2005 exit, Zoe had a son and a daughter just a year after fleeing for Ibiza. After believing her daughter died after a complicated birth, Zoe placed her son up for adoption before fleeing. This week’s action in Walford saw Zoe claim that the children’s father is none other than the late Dennis Watts , who was murdered in 2005. Despite Sharon Watts being heartbroken to learn her former husband cheated on her, she’s helping Zoe track down her son. While many fans aren’t sold on Dennis being the dad and think Zoe is lying, a lot of people believe that new character Jasmine might be her daughter. Jasmine was introduced to the programme on Tuesday (September 23) when she asked Cindy Beale for a job in The Albert. Initially rejected, Cindy had a change of heart when she saw her taking matters into her own hands, but warned her to stay away from Oscar Branning. Cindy continued to be impressed by Jasmine in spite of Elaine Peacock not being a fan of her, as Oscar continued his pursuit of her. In scenes aired on Thursday night (September 25), the son of Max Branning asked Jasmine out on a date by stealing her an outfit from the market. Still not impressed at Oscar amid her ongoing feud with his sister Lauren Branning, Cindy warned her away from the troublesome Branning once again. Despite the timing of Jasmine’s arrival potentially teeing her up to be Zoe’s daughter, fans on the EastEnders Reddit page believe she’s been in Albert Square to get close to Cindy all along. @MissKLO said: “Whoever called Jasmine being something to do with cindy’s stint in witness protection… I reckon who nailed it… she heard cindy stories, she wants to stay out of the ‘family business’… it’s alllll adding up.” @ourfriendinthenorth added: “I was onboard the Jasmine-is-Zoes’s-child train but I can now see this!” @OutlandishnessFew498 wrote: “What if Jasmine’s both? She’s Zoe’s daughter, but was adopted by someone connected to Jackie Ford? That’s the kind of ridiculous contrivance EE could get behind.” @eastenderse posted: “I also noticed the other day that Jasmine gave a horrible look when Elaine mentioned Cindy abandoned her kids.” Chewinggum250 commented: “Also did anyone else catch Jasmine asking about the psycho family Cindy informed on? I definitely think that’s her link.” @dwcrm argued: “Okay my theory is that Jasmine has come looking for her mum and she thinks it’s Cindy but really it’s Zoe.” Jasmine’s real reason for appearing in Walford is yet to be revealed, but it doesn’t look like she’s going anywhere anytime soon.
