I'm A Celebrity winner set for new primetime ITV show after top secret talks

Harry Redknapp is set to make a show about fishing. The legendary footie manager has had top-secret talks about filming a six-part series for ITV . Producers want him to team up with son Jamie for a trip around Europe to visit a string of fishing hotspots for the show, which is likely to be titled Catch of the Day. An ITV insider said: “The idea is for Harry and Jamie to film episodes at a string of incredible locations in places like Scotland and Scandinavia. “Along the way they’d face challenges and try to get the catch of the day.” If the show gets the green light, it is due to air in 2026 on ITV1. It’s likely to get a primetime slot because bosses think it could be a ratings winner. Execs have created the format after the incredible success of Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing on the BBC . Millions of viewers love watching TV legend Paul Whitehouse and Bob Mortimer put the world to rights on the series. An industry source said: “Gone Fishing has been a massive hit for the BBC and now ITV wants to do something similar.” Harry is one of the stars returning to I’m A Celebrity for its next all stars series. The star is currently in South Africa to film the spin-off show. Other famous faces back include boxer David Haye, reality star Gemma Collins, comic Seann Walsh, presenter Scarlett Moffatt, Olympian Sir Mo Farah, 80s legend Sinitta, Waterloo Road actor Adam Thomas, former Corrie star Craig Charles and Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts.
