RTE bosses reveal Late Late Show line-up with legendary Irish comedian, football icon and much-loved Irish band

RTE bosses have revealed tonight’s jam-packed Late Late Show line-up with a mix of music, sport and laughs for viewers at home.

The Co Down host is set to welcome a wide range of guests from Irish folk rebels to one of Ireland’s much-loved comedians, a football legend and many more.

Former First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon will sit down with Patrick Kielty to discuss her years in office, the battle for Scottish independence, and the personal toll that public life can take.

She’ll also open up about her decision to step away from politics, the shock of her subsequent arrest and how she’s adjusting after decades in the spotlight.

Also in the studio tonight is a football legend, who will be looking back at his career.

The Late Late Show said: “Football legend Martin O’Neill will also be in studio to look back at his celebrated career – from playing in the World Cup with Northern Ireland and lifting two European Cups with Nottingham Forest, to his managerial triumphs with Leicester City, Celtic, and the Republic of Ireland.

“Martin will also share his thoughts on the future of Irish soccer and what it will take to reignite Ireland’s performance on the pitch.”

And one of Ireland’s best known funnymen Neil Delamere is returning to the Late Late couch with his “trademark wit”.

He’ll be chatting about life on the road and his latest stand-up tour, which is already selling out venues nationwide.

Music fans are also in for a treat as Dundalk folk rebels The Mary Wallopers will drop by to chat about their whirlwind summer and a gig that made global headlines.

They’ll also be performing their latest single, The Juice.

Patrick will also welcome two surviving members of the Miami Showband, Stephen Travers and Des Lee, alongside a longtime friend of the band, Fr Brian D’Arcy, to mark fifty years since the devastating massacre that changed Irish music history.

They’ll retell how they survived that tragic night in 1975, their lifelong search for truth, and the enduring legacy of their bandmates.

After last Friday’s episode, viewers were all left with the same complaint when The Traitors Ireland cast appeared on the show.

Paudie Moloney, his son Andrew and fellow Traitor Katelyn Divilly as well as recently murdered Christine Duff all sat down to discuss the show.

During their chat, Patrick asked the cast who they thought might win the show before it finishes up next week.

Original Traitor Katelyn said: “It has to be Oyin, I don’t know if you’ve seen, but online they are calling her oracle Oyin.”

Chrsitine insisted: “I’m for the girls.”

Paudie’s son Andrew remarked: “Kelly and Oyin are in strong positions because they’ve built trust with everyone around them and they’ve been considered one hundred per cent Faithfuls”

Paudie added: “There’s great people in there and any one of them could win it to be honest and it’s just very hard to call.

“They’re all excellent, great players.”

Elsewhere during their chat, the recently murdered Christine opened up on her intense exit from the show – that seemingly didn’t seem to phase the star during filming.
