Starbucks closures: Which locations are shutting down in Sonoma and Napa

Starbucks is closing stores nationwide as part of a sweeping $1 billion restructuring that also cuts roughly 900 non-retail corporate jobs.
The company says it is targeting underperforming locations that no longer deliver the customer experience expected or lack a sustainable financial path, rather than focusing on union status or local politics.
While Starbucks’ overall footprint will shrink by about 1% in North America, the chain plans to reinvest in and remodel more than 1,000 remaining stores.
In a letter to employees, CEO Brian Niccol told said the company “identified coffeehouses where we’re unable to create the physical environment our customers and partners expect, or where we don’t see a path to financial performance, and these locations will be closed,” according to Reuters.
Starbucks has not published a complete list of closures. National media and local records have pieced together many names, while the company says it is still evaluating which sites “fit a healthy store portfolio.”
There are at least 28 company-operated Starbucks locations in Sonoma and Napa counties, and roughly 50 if licensed stores inside groceries and big-box retailers are included.
The Press Democrat reviewed local stores and found the following are slated to close. This list will be updated as more information becomes available:
801 Gravenstein Highway, Sebastopol
2755 Yulupa Ave. (Bennett Valley Shopping Center), Santa Rosa
125 Petaluma Blvd. N., Petaluma
