Ulster v Dragons LIVE: Kick-off time, TV channel and score updates

Dragons head coach Filo Tiatia has handed competitive debuts to seven players as they kick off their United Rugby Championship campaign with a daunting trip to Ulster.

It is a new era for the Welsh club who have made 16 new signings with 26 players leaving, while they also have a new defence coach in Dale MacLeod. There are reasons to be optimistic ahead of the new season after a terrible 2024/25 season where they won just twice.

Outside-half Tinus de Beer wears the number 10 shirt having joined from Cardiff, while Wales international Wyn Jones and new South African tighthead Robert Hunt make debuts in the pack. Further new signings Dillon Lewis, Levi Douglas, Mackenzie Martin and Fine Inisi have been named on the replacements’ bench.

It will be a big night for second-row Matthew Screech who makes his 200th appearance for the club and he partners Ben Carter at lock. Join WalesOnline Rugby’s WhatsApp Channel here to get the breaking news sent straight to your phone for free

Elliot Dee starts at hooker, while Harrison Keddie, Shane Lewis-Hughes and Aaron Wainwright make up the back-row.

Rhodri Williams partners de Beer at half-back, while Aneurin Owen and Joe Westwood link up in midfield. Get the latest breaking Welsh rugby news stories sent straight to your inbox with our FREE daily newsletter. Sign up here.

Angus O’Brien, Rio Dyer and Jared Rosser make up the back-three.

Kick-off is at 8.05pm and the game is live on Premier Sports.
