Neetu Kapoor has showered praise on Alia Bhatt’s mother, Soni Razdan, for her performance in the recently released film Song Of Paradise. The film, released on an OTT platform, has been receiving warm responses. It features Soni Razdan and Saba Azad in a pivotal role.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Neetu Kapoor shared a clip from the film and wrote, “Beautiful movie @sonirazdan you were so good.” Saba Azad was also seen in the film. It follows the inspirational journey of Zeba Akhtar, a young woman in 1950s Kashmir who defies societal norms to become the legendary singer Noor Begum (also known as Raj Begum) and the first female voice on Radio Kashmir. The film is a musical drama loosely based on the life of the Padma Shri awardee, showcasing her struggle for recognition in a conservative society and her significant contribution to Kashmiri musical heritage. The film also features Soni Razdan, Taaruk Raina, Sheeba Chadha, Zain Khan Durrani and Lilette Dubey in significant roles.

Alia Bhatt had also praised mother Soni Razdan and the film Songs Of Paradise. She penned down a long note and praised Songs Of Paradise. She called the film “heartfelt” and added that Saba Azad has portrayed her part beautifully. “Songs of Paradise is a heartfelt journey of music, hardship and dreams. What a wonderful performance by @sabazad, you blended innocence with strength so beautifully in this tale of freedom. And my mama, @Sonirazdan, watching you on screen is my greatest delight.
