The Belleville Tigers (3-1) travel to face the Livonia Franklin Patriots (3-1) in a pivotal Kensington Lakes Activities Association East Division matchup.
Belleville showed its firepower last week in a convincing 42-21 victory over Livonia Churchill. Junior playmakers led the charge as Labron Powell broke free for a 63-yard touchdown run and Charles Britton III added a 32-yard scoring dash to build an early 14-0 lead that the Tigers never relinquished. The Tigers will look to replicate last year’s dominant 35-6 win over the Patriots.
Franklin used a 24-6 second-half surge to overcome Dearborn 30-20 last week. Senior Daylen Neal provided the game’s turning point with a 35-yard touchdown reception midway through the third quarter that put the Patriots ahead for good.
Opening kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on Friday, September 26 with a live TV broadcast on NFHS Network.
