Moline Regional Community Foundation distributes $500,000 in grants to 52 area nonprofits

The Moline Regional Community Foundation has announced the distribution of $500,000 in grants to 52 nonprofits that serve Illinois House District 72.
A committee of community volunteers evaluated more than $3.4 million in requests from nearly 90 nonprofits serving Illinois House District 72.
“We are extremely grateful that Representative (Gregg) Johnson was able to secure this much-needed funding,” said Paul Plagenz, president and CEO of the Moline Community Foundation. “With almost every nonprofit facing critical financial challenges, we encourage everyone to also financially support any local nonprofit close to your heart.”
The foundation administered the grant review process and its board agreed to provide a 5% match to the recipients, Plagenz said.
