Etihad Airways will be adding Mediterranean flair to its summer schedule with new seasonal flights to Mallorca from 2026. The new service makes Palma the 29th destination in Etihad’s growing network and will be the only direct connection between Asia and Mallorca.
From 12 June to mid-September 2026, the Abu Dhabi-based carrier will operate three weekly services to the island. Flight EY115 will depart Abu Dhabi at 02:55, landing in Palma at 08:15, while the return flight, EY116, will leave Palma at 10:30 and arrive back in Abu Dhabi at 19:00. Services will run on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The route will be flown by Etihad’s new Airbus A321LR, designed to bring a widebody-style experience to a single-aisle aircraft. Passengers in First can expect private suites with closing doors and fine dining, while Business travellers enjoy lie-flat seating in a 1-1 herringbone layout. Economy offers a quieter cabin with modern seats, extra legroom and personal entertainment screens at every seat.
“Palma de Mallorca is the perfect addition to our summer schedule,” said Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Airways. “From marinas and lively nightlife to secluded coves and historic towns, Mallorca has something for every traveller. We can’t wait to connect our guests from Abu Dhabi and across our network to this Balearic gem – the ultimate summer escape aboard our new A321LR.”
This isn’t the only new route to Mallorca making headlines this month. Air Canada also confirmed it will connect Montreal with Palma from 17 June 2026, operating until October. The service will be operated by the carrier’s brand-new Airbus A321XLR aircraft, the first narrow-body in its fleet to feature lie-flat seats in Business Class. Configured with 182 seats – 14 in Signature Class and 168 in Economy – the jet combines the range of a wide-body with the efficiency of a smaller aircraft. Air Canada said that the route will mark the beginning of its next phase of international growth and will make it the first Canadian airline to offer direct flights to the Balearic island.
