Four Israeli soldiers were killed and eight others were injured after resistance fighters detonated a bomb against an Israeli force south of Rafah city, the Hebrew website Hadashot Bazman reported on Thursday.
Ambulance crews rushed to the scene and transported the injured soldiers to hospitals, the Hebrew news site noted, adding that the operation took place in an area south of Rafah – which was supposed to be a safe zone for army forces.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced on Wednesday that it had shelled Israeli occupation concentrations south of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Palestinian resistance factions continue to confront Israeli vehicles and soldiers who are encroaching on the Gaza Strip, consistently setting up tight ambushes against the invading forces.
They have inflicted significant human losses, alongside destroying or damaging hundreds of military vehicles, in addition to shelling cities and settlements with medium and long-range missiles.
Since October 7, 2023 Israeli forces – with direct support from the US and other Western countries – have continued to wage a devastating genocidal campaign on Gaza, which has so far resulted in the deaths and injury of nearly 231,000 Palestinians, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
