Six persons with disabilities get loans from Small Business Bureau

Six persons living with disabilities yesterday received loans totaling $3 million.

The cheques were handed over by Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Susan Rodrigues and Permanent Secretary, Roger Rogers at the Small Business Bureau.

A release from the Ministry of Tourism said that the loans were secured through a revolving fund specifically designed to support entrepreneurs living with disabilities, providing them with access to loans of up to $500,000 with zero collateral, zero interest, and a repayment period of up to four years. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security, the release said.
