Pharma stocks may come under pressure following the US President Donald Trump’s announcement on Thursday that up to 100% tariff would be imposed on imports of branded and patented pharmaceutical products from October 1. “Starting October 1st, 2025, we will be imposing a 100% tariff on any branded or patented pharmaceutical product, unless a Company IS BUILDING their Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant in America,” Trump said on Truth Social.

The Defence Ministry signed a contract with Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) for procurement of 97 Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Mk1A, including 68 fighters and 29 twin seaters, along with associated equipment, for the Indian Air Force, at a cost of over ₹62,370 crore (excluding taxes), on September 25, 2025. The delivery of these aircraft would commence during 2027-28 and would be completed over a period of six years.

Unified Data-Tech Solutions Ltd has received a purchase order worth of ₹27.61 crore for supply of new product, software licence, installation, and integration within 2 months with a 5-year warranty.

Supreme Petrochem Ltd’s two new lines of ABS compounding, having an installed capacity of 20,000 TPA at its Amdoshi facility, have been commissioned and the plant commenced production on September 25.

Fabtech Technologies Cleanrooms has secured orders across key industry sectors: solar and electronics sector – orders worth ₹6.97 crore; pharmaceutical sector – orders worth ₹5.31 crore; data centres – orders worth ₹5 crore; and laboratory and animal house projects – orders worth ₹2.60 crore.

RITES has received a letter of award from Talis Logistics, South Africa for “Supply and commissioning of Overhauled in-service Cape Gauge ALCO Diesel Electric Locomotives”. The order value is $18 million (CIF). The project is supported by a robust vendor base of nearly 105 Indian companies directly engaged in the manufacture of detailed components. Production is expected to generate close to 11,750 direct and indirect jobs annually for six years, giving a major boost to the domestic aerospace ecosystem.

Solarium Green Energy Ltd has received a Notification of Award of approximately ₹4,34,70,663 exclusive of GST from NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd (NVVN)for 1320 kW Rooftop Solar Project at AIIMS-Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.

NTPC Green Energy Ltd has announced that part capacity of 25 MW of the total installed capacity of the 37.5 MW (Solar) Project located in Bhuj, Gujarat of Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Ltd, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green, has commenced commercial operations w.e.f. 27.09.2025.

Kothari Industrial Corporation Ltd has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Accademia IUAD, Italy, a reputed Design University, for establishing a joint venture in India. The objective is to collaborate on establishing a training centre of international standards in Tamil Nadu, initially dedicated to the footwear and fashion accessories sectors, with the possibility of subsequent extension to other departments consistent with IUAD’S educational offering and providing specialised training and education in the field of design, fashion, and related disciplines through a structured programme. This strategic tie-up is expected to leverage the academic expertise of Accademia IUAD and the business capabilities of the company to promote skill development and professional opportunities in the sector.

Firoz Cyrus Mistry, son of the late Cyrus Mistry, and veteran banker Santosh Balachandran Nayar have joined the board of Afcons Infrastructure, the engineering and construction company of the Shapoorji Pallonji Group.

CIL-JSPPPL, the joint venture between Ceigall India Ltd (CIL) and JSP Projects Pvt. Ltd (JSPPPL), in which CIL holds 80 per cent share and Jthe SPPPL 20 per cent share, has received a Letter of Award from Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) for the construction of an internal road in Pocket B, C & D of Aerotropolis S.A.S Nagar (Civil, Public Health and Elect. Works). Tender cCost is Rs. 509,20,80,359.
