The battle for Ottawa-Kent Green supremacy heats up Friday night as the Muskegon Big Reds (2-2) travel to Husky Stadium to face the Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern Huskies (2-2) in a matchup of teams riding two-game winning streaks.
Both squads have found their rhythm after 0-2 starts, with Muskegon coming off a 46-17 dismantling of Byron Center. The Big Reds’ senior trio of quarterback Lamar Bradford, tailback Keshawn Drummer and standout wide receiver Demetrius Rainey-Brown seek a repeat of last year’s result when they defeated the Huskies 47-28.
Forest Hills Northern counters after a convincing 49-19 victory over Grand Rapids Union, led by junior quarterback Owen Ostipow and senior running back Colton Sawyer.
