The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued the detailed exam time table for classes 10 and 12. This is the first time the national education board will be conducting class 10 board exams in two phases. In June 2025, CBSE announced introduction of a two term examination system for Class 10 starting from the 2026 academic year. As per the two term board exam system, the first ‘main’ board examination will be conducted in mid-February 2026, followed by a second exam in May 2026. These exams will be held in February and May 2026, respectively. This can be treated as a second chance for students. The exams for paper 2 of CBSE Class 10 board exams 2026 will begin on May 15 and conclude on June 1. Students, parents and teachers should note that the date sheet released is tentative in nature. Final date sheet will be released later by the board upon submission of the final list of candidates by the schools.
