FlexManager: Driving Global Safety & Compliance Innovation from Galway

The role that Galway has played in the international success of FlexManager, from its physical headquarters in Ballybrit to the business networks and wide talent pools from third-level institutions, has no limit for its trajectory for success in Galway.

From its physical headquarters in Ballybrit to the business networks and wide talent pools from third-level institutions, its trajectory for success from Galway has no limit. Serving as an all-in-one compliance software, FlexManager provides a comprehensive solution for organisations seeking to optimise their operations and streamline their processes.

FlexManager founder and Galway local George Curley, with family roots in health and safety, saw first-hand how unreliable paper-based processes and unstructured administrative tasks slowed business’ progress. With a client and a good idea, George combined his industry experience with his background in computer science. This marked the beginning of his journey to build a smarter way to manage compliance and change the way organisations work.

Early collaborations with GMIT’s Innovation Centre (now ATU iHub ), Enterprise Ireland’s mentoring, and guidance from Galway’s Local Enterprise Office facilitated FlexManager’s growth from its Galway foundation to operations across three continents.

Today, FlexManager offers 80+ modules covering everything from asset management, risk assessments, and training records to incident reporting, contractor management, and operational overviews. It is a ready-built platform that ensures standards for certifications such as ISO, with seamless mobile-to-desktop integration designed to grow alongside organisations as they embark on their digital transformation journey.

FlexManager’s impact is felt in communities across Ireland, particularly in essential services. The company supports the operations of many of Ireland’s fire services, including every fire station across Galway, providing key tools to help teams stay organised, compliant, and safe.

An avid supporter of initiatives that reflect the spirit of Galway itself, FlexManager has long-standing partnerships with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and the Oranmore Maree Coastal Search Unit. These organisations provide essential services to Galway communities, ones that FlexManager is proud to support.

Looking ahead, this October, Mr Curley will speak at the National Irish Safety Organisation’s annual conference, the premier event for safety in Ireland. A major milestone for 2026 is FlexManager marking 15 years of operation. A celebration not just of longevity, but of innovation, resilience, and a deep-rooted connection to the place where it all began.
